Directions to Bellwood Sportsmen's Club

From I-99

From Blandburg, Glasgow, etc

From Tipton

From Interstate 99, exit at the Bellwood exit, at exit 41, and head towards Bellwood on Route 865. At the traffic signal, cross old Route 220 at the Sheetz store and continue on Route 865 (Tuckahoe Street) for approximately three miles.

If you are hungry for one of "The Best Subs Around", check out Housers, on the corner of Tuckahoe and North 4th Street. (I had a brother-in-law who said he didn't like Houser's subs because "they put too much meat on them. Call ahead (814) 742-8721, and Rob, Vicky or one of their very capable employees will have your order ready by the time you get there.

Continue to follow Tuckahoe/Route 865 North up through Bellwood until you pass Bel-Tipad (the "back road to Tipton"), and a little farther, Roots Crossing. Still heading north, like you were going to Blandburg and Glasgow, you go up a little rise and down a little hill, keeping a lookout on your left for the Club. You will probably see the large sign for Yingling's Repair Service sitting down off of the road; the Sportsmen's Club is the next dirt lane past that.

The sign at the entrance to the club looks like this from Route 865.

If you are coming down the mountain from Blandburg on Route 865, keep a lookout for the Bellwood Reservoir on the right; just past that is Bob and Rose Himes' beautiful farmhouse. And right down the road is Bellwood Sportsmen's, on the right. (See the picture above.)

If you are coming up from Tipton on Bel-Tip Road, at Route 865 (North Tuckahoe), turn right, then follow the instructions above.

Likewise if you are on Grandview Road, from the Juniata area or the Riggles Gap area, at Rout 865, turn left.
